The Parallels Between Colonialism and Imperialism in a 10-Year Project

In the book, I really tried to study colonial fantasies. And it is not really until I was done with archival research in Europe that my source that led me to Brazil. The part about colonial fantasies in pure realities refers to tensions that I saw in my study between dreams of colonial dominance than some Germans had regarding Poles in the eastern borderlands and the Poles themselves had regarding others in colonies. So my intention in positing this colonial fantasy in pure reality is not to create a false dichotomy between colonial and imperial since I see both processes as mutually related.
