How Did You Find Anne and Adam Sykes?
It was given to me by a lady. It had been given to her back in the 1960s. Each swatch has a caption above it and it might say something like Fanny Taylor's dress 1843 or Mrs Greg 1832, but no identifiers at all. And then there was just a single swatch in the whole of the 2000 pieces that she included. One squatch where she said, and Sykes dress 1840, the first dress I wore in Singapore. Once I had that name, it just kind of unraveled the whole story really. After finding Anne and Adam, it then kind of just snowballed into discovering all of the network of people that surrounded their lives. So
