So really what we're seeing from Fidel Castro there was a very strong preparation for a war footing. That was very much where Cuba was in terms of its reaction. And what about the effect on the people of Cuba? It may have been a political manoeuvre deployed at the highest level, but it also had significant impact on people's everyday lives.
