Mitt Romney's Disconnect From the Party
Mitt Romney is so fascinating to me as a political reporter because he's so disconnected from where the party is. It was his policy that gave rise to Obamacare was he had the predecessor to it. He badmouthed Donald Trump even though Donald Trump's very popular including in Utah. His votes with Democrats on the key swing issues, leaving his party in the cold. I would argue he's fought against those things by voting for trillions more and spending and omnibus.
