In 19 70, we see the falls road area in belfast being surrounded for a curfew. They pumped the area full of c s gas to try and smoke these people out of the houses. And riots went absolutely mad within the area. So actions like this essentially made the relationship between irish catholics and the british army irreparable. You know. There was no coming back from this. Now, there was so many moments when all this could have been resolved, but it just was made worse," he says.
