Witchcraft - A Tale of Two Cities
In 16 81 an unmarried, younger, relatively wealthy woman had taken sick. A magpie gets in at the window where she was recuperating and frightens all the servants. They begin to see something poking and trying to gain entry. Temperance lloyd literally eavesdropping on their conversation. She thought she was coming over in a pleasant manner. But for the invalid woman and her friends, the sudden attack of a rather dirty, unkempt woman who invades her personal space completely spooks her. The appearance of the magpie and the appearance of the beggar woman become one and the same.
