The Speed of Time

Adrian Bijan is a professor of mechanical engineering at Duke University in the United States. He says we and other animals sense time by recording snapshots of the world from our senses. So while we don't have an actual time sensor in the brain, we do have a system that can make sense of the chaos of our lives. And the hippocampus is a part of the brain that is key for all of this - memory, sequence and spatial navigation.
