Cervical mileopathy is most affected by post operative paralysis following posterior cervical decompression. Milograms of 25 patients without nerologic complications showed the maximum cord shift was at c five, but the average shift was not any different from patients with complications. Whenever there is potential for etagenic c five nerve root injury, they were able to detect injury prospectively and avert more serious consequences with intra operative monitoring.
