The Benefits of Exercise for Cancer Patients
The exercise trial was inspired by some, you know, largely observational data from the U.S., Jeff Meyerhart and colorectal cancer and Michelle Holmes and breast cancer that reported a very impressive improvement in disease-free and relapse-free survival with post-therapy exercise. One thing that we struggle with in designing all of these, and I still struggle with it, is how does a clinician interpret these complicated analysis when they read a report? "I've been trying to educate clinicians about how to interpret quality life data long enough that I've decided we need a different strategy," he says.
