FDR in 1940 Breaks That Convention
In the original constitution there was no term limit on the president George Washington. FDR in 1940 breaks that convention why does he break it? There's war in Europe these are dark days indeed for Britain during the party conventions of 1940 France fell and FDR had a sense that continuity and experience were essential. By 1944 FDR is ill in fact he is desperately ill he should never have run but he decides to serve to continue serving.
