The Importance of Atonement

There's no mostly dead, or kind of dead. Dead men all need the same amount of resurrection and that's a full resurrection. You've never done anything that didn't need atoning for. So it's part of the gospel that we don't make ourselves undead. We are born as those who are dead in trespasses and sins, enemies of God. The only way in which we come to life is by Christ through his word, calling us back to life.
