Smedley's Parting Words

In January 1931, Smedley in an interview told an anecdote about Italian Prime Minister Benito Mussolini. It was told to him by a friend that he wouldn't name. He would have been taken by Mussolini for a high speed car ride through the Italian countryside. In the course of which the director ran down a child and did not even bother to slow down.
