The Purpose of Ramadan
The Prophet Sallam said Ramadan has come to you and it is a blessed month. The word karim comes with two meanings in Arabic: generous and noble. So there is no harm in describing Ramadan as karim, he says. Al-barakah means for divine goodness to come into something more than we could have imagined.
