The First Railway Accident
The first death was at their opening of the Liverpool and Manchester railway. Charles Dickens was in one not a very big one where maybe half a dozen people were killed but it really shocked him. There are now very very few rail disasters they are all largely preventable with better maintenanceBetter kind of technology better signaling and you know lots of safety practice.
