The Lord Said, You Shall Be Shepherd of My People Israel
Sauul died for his unfaithfulness to the lord in that he did not keep the command of the lord. He also consulted a medium seeking guidance, and did not seek guidance from the lord. Therefore the lord slew him and turned the kingdom over to david, the son of jesse. Then all israel gathered together to David at hebron and said, behold, we are your bone and flesh. And they anointed david king over israel, according to the word of the Lord.
