A chief customer officer has to have an intentional strategy of what the customer journey is a with an emphasis on post sale. The full customer journey is its marketing, its sales, its success, its support and its operations - but they need to define what that looks like. Invite other stake holders such as your manager or anyone else you think would be interested in in these insights. Remind people this isn't just about lunch, all this is contributing to this greater sort of business objective.
