Is There a Spinal Cord Lesion?
If someone says they're approximately weak and they don't come in and say they're roughly weak, then you're going to think about a myopathic process. Hyperreflexia would suggest upper motor neuron lesion but I want to put a word of caution here, which is when people have acute upper motor neuron lesions like a stroke. This is not one where you do a cursory from the room. Can you move everything, et cetera? But a sensory level would obviously suggest a spinal cord lesion.
