How Do You Design for Resilience?
We can learn a lot from evolution as to how it has dealt with changing rments. But one thing evolution doesn't have because it's largely reactive is the capacity to anticipate changes. How do we design systems? How do we transform systems to make them robust in the future, so that we're around in 50 or a hundred years? If we're going to solve these problems, we've got to transform our energy systems. We could maybe get by a few more years like this, but we are going tobe in trouble in ten years, for sure.
