Not everyone agrees that boer war is the best terminology, the best way to describe this conflict. Africanas used to call it the the brits of porloch, the war against the british. But somehow the term borg war has continued to stick. And round about the centenary of the boer war, a, it became, and still is, at least an academic parlance, much more common to refer to it as the south african war.
