The Lagrange Points in the Gravitational Wave Detector
The three Lagrange points form an equilateral triangle. So in that exact what we want for a gravitational wave detector. The dynamical environment is very quiet. There's no big bodies in the vicinity. If you put something there, it will stay there more or less. It's not exactly true for the L4 and L5 point, because they're strictly speaking unstable.
