The Advantages and Disadvantages of Femoral Access
Chris Beck, Interventional Radiology at Turro Infirmary in New Orleans. His practice is mainly metastatic colorectal or neuroendocrine for which he uses surf spheres and Y90 catheters. "I have a high level of comfort with femoral access," says Beck about his preferred access site. He also recommends using shorter working length catheters to get better pictures during mapping procedures.
