By October 25th, Khrushchev was beginning to move toward a compromise. And he eventually did on October 26th. He said in a letter that gave signs of having been written by or dictated by him personally. But as Khrushchev moved towards compromise, in Cuba, Fidel Castro was considering a more dangerous direction.
