Are We Going to Have a Profit Recession?
We've seen some of the utilities and defensives underperform. Some people have argued, hey, that's suggesting the worst of the economic slowdown is behind us. We think we're entering a profit recession, which would be a cyclical downturn. And so when you go into a profits recession, what tends to work? Defensive type sectors. You want to be very careful about the cyclicals that you hold.
