Hercules and the Hydra
The Hydra is a large creature, with the body of what's said to be like a reptilian dog. Hercules pulls out his club and moves towards it, and sees Athena standing silently on an overhang over a cave. She looks down, looks at Hercules, and vanishes. They hear a terrible roar, and the Hydra comes barreling out at them; they hold their breath to avoid the poison.
