How Did You Get the Idea to Write a Book?

The author was asked to write a book about people working in non profits and government work. His friend Heather krasna had written a book called jobs that matter. She said why don't you write one about doing what you love, except science fiction? And i thought, if i don't write this book, some one else will. I hope that people use caution, because, you know, this is some one else's ip that people are selling.
