The book is about the history of the Old Quantum Theory, which is what Thomas Coon's most detailed historical work that possibly competing with Copernica Revolution. Part of the argument of the book is that if you look at different schools or different styles of thinking about theoretical physics or physics in general, people have different attitudes to whether crises and revolutions are real. So those Coonian resonances run through the book in multiple ways but also there's pedagogical lineages in a historiography.
