The Importance of Being Aware
As a white gay man, I'm sort of at the top of the oppression Olympics if you like. We tend to measure how the LGBT community is doing based on my experience. It's important to remember that just because my existence and the existence of other people who are like me is much better than it was, there's still loads of people within my community that that's not the case for. And we need to be really conscious of not just measuring what the experience is for a white gay men, but what is it like for a black trans woman,. That's a great point. So remembering that those people exist and what you can do to help? What does your life have in common
