When you were budgeted by a record company, right, it was their property period. So remixing was just a foreign idea,. Like letting someone borrow your stems or whatever. You couldn't say, I'm going to make sure this person makes it. They own the master. And so after a minute, you have to resign yourself to that dynamic.
