Are the Independents a Threat to Our Independence?

There's been a lot of coverage recently about the kind of flurry of independent candidates who have been particularly targeting more moderate members of aparty. I was, you know, just fascinated by the fact that there are constant attempts to paint our independence as all linked together into a monalistic movement. The picture is aa of a grass roots movement, not an organized, top down political party. But it seems a political journalist can only see this through the lands of political parties and see it through the Lands of personalities.
