Bosnia and Herzegovina's war crimes tribunal has convicted more than 1,000 people since it was set up in 1995. The only heroes are the survivors and victims who have come forward to tell their stories of suffering at the hands of Bosnian Serb forces during the 1990s. "I would say my biggest frustration after being in this job for so many years is that we haven't managed," says former U.N. secretary-general Kofi Annan.
