How Postal Services Worked in the War on Terror

Most of the letters are just writing home to mum and dad. British soldiers tend to be between 18 and 22 years old. A lot of them aren't married, they haven't got girlfriends. Letters will then come so they go out with a postman - each battalion has its ownPostal service. Even in the line, they get their posts and they go and read them right back. Some of them wrote daily throughout the time they were out there.
