Annie was Keys' first girlfriend, who he eventually got engaged to and then broke off that engagement when he found out Tammy was pregnant. The pair had known each other for most of their lives, but began dating in September of 96. She went on to explain that early in the summer of 97, Keys drove up to Colville from Oregon to pick up some belongings from the farm. We also know that he committed the dishoots rape within several months of the Emerson murder. And that it was not his first rape, but it was the first time he planned out an attack.
