Vicki was a fan of opening other people's letters. Did she do this with her own family? Was she reading albert's letters? She read various relatives letters, but ones on on the continent, king leopold, the belgians,. For example, she read his letters, and one occasion saw that he was slagging her off. But i've not seen nty evidence that she read hernthe closest family member's letters. So interesting. He's going going across the the auter fringes of empire on horseback - seeing russian military manoeuvres in frontier towns. And you can just picture her sitting at the dinner table having a great time.
