Oppenheimer: The So-Called Father of the Atomic Bomb
Many will know Oppenheimer as the so-called father of the atomic bomb and perhaps that alone. He was recruited to become the scientific director of the Los Alamos Secret Laboratory in the desert of New Mexico in 1942. There was something deeply charismatic about him and mysterious and General Groves, Leslie Groves, saw something when he met Oppenheimer. And it turned out he was a brilliant administrator and very persuasive at getting all these large ego minded scientists to work together.
