The beast has spiked hands that it uses to hobble on like big canes and you guys are wearing robes so provided that you guys are hunched over, you're kind of blending in right now. Bev goes to turn the faithless on this dude, he resists, he roars the shrieking cry. And like fucking Dalsim from Street Fighter, he's got this like harpoon hand that he scoops this black gunk and shoves a spike right into Joris' eye.
