Neurodiversity and Autism

The word "neurodivergence" is used to describe people who are different from the average. It includes conditions like autism and ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and so on. A lot of what makes life difficult for autistic people is a mismatch between our neurotypical world and their way of looking at and thinking about the world. The whole of that neurodiversity movement is part of a more sort of social model of disability rights.
