The Seven Years War: A Global War of the European System
Most of the German principalities lined up with Austria against Frederick the Great. If anything it helped to lessen German nationalism not least because many Germans perceived the struggle as another stage of the 30 years war. I would argue that German nationalism really gets going in 1813 1814 with the driving out of Napoleon and the French from Germany. Now got a question here from semen visible which is did the seven years war boost German nationalism?
