The Federal Reserve have raised rates from 0% in March 2022 to 5%. That's the fastest interest rate hiking cycle that we've seen over the last 40 years. As a result deposits are moving faster than normal from bank deposit rates to money market funds. A recession is much more likely in the US due to expected contraction and loan growth.
