The Falling Back on Capital

When they talk about the falling back on, when production happens, if we were to just take a purely materialist view of how production operates within our society, at no point would we say that capital's super involved in that. But at large, we look at sort of the large scale social machines, this sort of molar reality that we live in, and it seems capitals doing that. When we say it falls back on, it's the impression, the false impression, the idea that it's the cause. To give a ton more examples, but that's kind of a short version. Anyone else want to expand?
