Brinkley's radio station was so lucrative in combination with his clinic that he gave back to Milford. He paid for a new sewage system and sidewalks, installed electricity,. built the bandstand and apartments for his patients and employees. Brinkley sponsored a hometown baseball team called the Brinkley goats. His Italian medical degree was rescinded by Benito Mussolini.
