I loved adventure stories when I was growing up. The idea that somebody who is slightly outside of what society requires you to be has got an edge, if you like. It's always a daft thing to say the book wrote itself because of course it doesn't. But at the same time, I really did feel like I had the wind in my sails,. We've all tried to stop making seafaring puns. And for your own inspirations coming from pirates, pirates from amazing women of the past. Can you share just a few more of your inspirations that perhaps could link into the ghost ship?
