The Amalekites, the First of the Nations, but His End Is Destruction
The rod of god's own judgment was turned against himself as a substitute for the people. And that is what made possible giving them the water. Otherwise it was not poss they were in sin, and they deserved to be cut off from the edenic waters forever. The amalekites hated god worse than any other race. They knew that egypt had been devastated. But because god took the judgment that they deserved, it was possible for them to be given water.
