Jotham Stein is a lawyer by profession and has worked with many entrepreneurs and employees who are ever so passionate and focused on their craft that understanding the risks and contracts that come with the role usually get placed on the back burner.
This and the trends he has seen of how frequently these problems arise inspired him to share his knowledge with the public.
Negotiate Like A CEO is written for entrepreneurs and employees to educate them on how they can protect themselves if ever things go south. As an author and publisher, you may have encountered these problems and stories as well and might find value in understanding the perspective and interests of investors, business owners, and employees whenever they enter an agreement.
The book is geared to enable the readers to understand what an exit plan looks like, what type of protection should be set up from day 1, non-competes, common mistakes, differences in regulations for each state, and leverage, among many others.
The book is dense with lessons however it should not be taken as a replacement for legal advice.
