The d rangers and eighth armor brigade were just in the firing line all the time. The reason they've got 18 battle honours, from d d to v da, is because they're fighting a lot of battles. And if you are unfortunate enough to be in the infantry or the armour in 19 forty four, forty five, your chances of getting through are considerably worse than they were surviving 19 14, 19 18.
