The UN's Winterization in Ukraine
The UN is saving lives in Ukraine. And our winterization, whose sole objective was to avoid people freezing or starving to death in these small rural communities. That was absolutely a major priority when I arrived in August. We're not irresponsible. We mitigate the risks. We know where we're going. But it was important to show that the UN is not just about meetings and votes in the General Assembly. That is actual people doing some really hard stuff in a really difficult situation.
