The Benefits of Memorizing a Single Word

The biggest mistake that I see people make when they're trying to learn a new language is to focus on single Words. My contention here is going to be that complete phrases are much more beneficial Even though on the face of it. It seems like well surely that's much harder to learn complete phrases. So why do I recommend doing things this way? Well Clearly if it's a choice between learning a single word or learning nothing then Sure learn the single word and obviously that's always gonna be better. And once you've written down that phrase you could then transfer that into memorize or into Your flashcards deck or or whatever but the point is that you transfer the whole phrase not the single word
