The White House Is Considering Refilling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve
White House Chief of Staff Ron Clayne said in a tweet, the move comes as the administration has been meeting with oil company executives to negotiate ways to lower fuel prices. Oil prices shot higher last week after the oil-producing cartel OPEC and its allied countries announced they would cut their collective production by 2 million barrels per day. Joe Biden just needs to buy time until the midterms are over to stave off maximum political damage. Afterwards, I imagine the Democrats are going to pay at a premium to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. That means Joe Biden is selling off our emergency savings of oil at a discounted rate and then will be forced to buy it back up at a premium costing you money.
