In the early days of social media, i was a technology reporter and colomnist for several years. We have been exploiting our need to belong when it comes to making our arguments, arguments we make dishonest arguments. This environment is not one where we are inviting people to honest engagement with ideas. And until we fix that, we won't be able to engage with ideas in any like productive way.
