In an age before photography and before video, how did everybody know who was being depicted? Well, we know that in terms of actually creating the prints, people like Gil Ray would go and watch politicians speak. So he was really good at capturing people's kind of exactness and likeness. We know that the prints that these artists made did effectively portray the people at the time.
