Khatami and the Reformist Movement in Iran
Muhammad Khatami comes to the major prominence as the leader of the kind of reformist movement in 1997. But before that, he wasn't an outsider to the political system. He was also Iran's Minister of Culture for about a decade until 1992. And he, as I said, he wins the presidency in 1997 against a total kind of regime insider by the name of Nhat Abnuri.
